Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

Service

Engage OT provides private paediatric occupational therapy services delivered online via Google Meet and, where available, in person. All sessions are delivered by a CORU-registered occupational therapist. These terms apply to all bookings made through our website or directly by email. By booking a session, you agree to these terms.

Booking

Sessions are booked through our online scheduling system (Calendly) and are confirmed on receipt of payment. A booking confirmation will be sent to your email address. We recommend booking an Initial Assessment as the first session. If your child has already been assessed by another OT, you may book a follow-up session directly.

Payment

Payment is required at the time of booking. We accept all major debit and credit cards via Stripe. Prices are displayed in euro inclusive of VAT where applicable. Receipts are provided for all sessions and are formatted for health insurance reimbursement claims (VHI, Laya, Irish Life) and tax relief under the Med 1 scheme.

Cancellation and rescheduling

We require at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice will be charged in full. To cancel or reschedule, email engageotie@gmail.com or use the link in your booking confirmation email. In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a session, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no extra cost.

Sessions

Online sessions are delivered via Google Meet. You will receive a secure link before your session. No Google account is required to join — just click the link from any browser. A stable internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone are needed. Sessions run for the duration booked. If technical difficulties on our side interrupt a session, we will offer a replacement session or partial refund. If you or your child is unwell, please reschedule rather than attend. We reserve the right to end a session early if the environment or circumstances are unsafe.

Reports

Written reports following Initial Assessment or School Accommodation assessment are delivered within one week of the session, provided all required information has been received. Reports are written to clinical standard and are suitable for submission to schools, NEPS, and the State Examinations Commission. We do not guarantee specific outcomes from reports submitted to third parties. Reports are shared with schools or other professionals only with your explicit written consent.

Scope of service

Engage OT is a private therapy service. We are not a substitute for HSE or CDNT services, emergency care, or psychiatric assessment. If your child requires urgent or emergency support, contact your GP, the HSE, or emergency services. We do not diagnose medical conditions. Where a formal diagnosis is required, we will recommend appropriate referral pathways.

Professional standards

All sessions are delivered by a therapist registered with CORU (Health and Social Care Professionals Council) and certified with AOTI (Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland). You can verify CORU registration at coru.ie.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Engage OT's liability for any claim arising from the provision of services is limited to the fees paid for the session or sessions to which the claim relates. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at this URL. Bookings made before any change are governed by the terms in effect at the time of booking.
